I enjoyed this book so so much it's absolutely crazy。 The perfect slow burn and a relationship building over the pages; I genuinely adored Aiden and Vanessa and what they came to be。 Though not a man of many words， Aiden said enough in the little that he did。 He had what many men unfortunately do not— functioning braincells。 Given that a few times he'd say the dumbest shit ever but I loved how he was always so big on communicating and how him and Vanessa spoke about their pasts with each other。 I enjoyed this book so so much it's absolutely crazy。 The perfect slow burn and a relationship building over the pages; I genuinely adored Aiden and Vanessa and what they came to be。 Though not a man of many words， Aiden said enough in the little that he did。 He had what many men unfortunately do not— functioning braincells。 Given that a few times he'd say the dumbest shit ever but I loved how he was always so big on communicating and how him and Vanessa spoke about their pasts with each other。 The first 3 or 5 chapters of this book are very boring and could have been coalesced into 2 but once you get past that， this book builds up beautifully。 Rightfully my first 5-star rating of this year。 I also loved the writing style of the author and I'll be reading more of her works。 “Home is where you are。 I would go anywhere for you if you wanted me to be there。”“But I can’t remember anymore what it’s like to not be happy。” ohhhh to say Aiden and Vanessa have my heart would be an understatement。 。。。more

Mariana Zapata has completely converted me to a slow burn romance book。 The way in which the character's relationship developed slowly and didn't feel forced was lovely。 It was good to see the slow and realistic way in which Aiden started to open up and the way they shared things about themselves with each other in vulnerable moments that had occurred。 I enjoyed how the more you found out about them the more their characters made sense and that even as they developed they didn't change who they Mariana Zapata has completely converted me to a slow burn romance book。 The way in which the character's relationship developed slowly and didn't feel forced was lovely。 It was good to see the slow and realistic way in which Aiden started to open up and the way they shared things about themselves with each other in vulnerable moments that had occurred。 I enjoyed how the more you found out about them the more their characters made sense and that even as they developed they didn't change who they are drastically。 I did find it odd how often it was mentioned/described how big Aiden is and in so many different ways。 It gave off the same vibes as when authors focused too much on how tiny a FMC is which I didn't like。 The same goes for when Vanessa lost weight by running， I didn't feel like there needed to be such a focus on that detail。 Like there is more to a person than their physical description and I felt like it was focused on too much and too often。 The secondary characters were fun and much needed， especially with such a silent character as Aiden in the beginning。 I liked Vanessa's personality and how she was aware of her flaws and her strengths and was unapologetically herself throughout。 It is the first American Football book I've read and I know less than nothing about it but this book didn't overly concentrate on that despite it being a key part of the characters lives which was helpful。 Overall， it was an enjoyable book and I will probably re-read it， there were a few details that I didn't like but generally I liked the characters and the storyline and how it developed。 I also think it's a great sign of the quality of the book that it's over 650 pages long and it didn't feel like a long book， I didn't feel like it was dragging at any point。 。。。more
